Pretty decent course

I did the 'SQL for Data Science' course. It was pretty straightforward and taught me what I needed. No real issues, everything went fine. Learned a bunch.

Good value, some small hiccups

I signed up for the 'Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate' and overall, it was a solid experience. The content was comprehensive, and I felt I got good value for the price. The self-paced format worked well for my schedule. My only minor gripe was with one of the peer-graded assignments; sometimes feedback took a bit longer than expected. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but an area that could see a slight improvement. Customer support was helpful when I had a question about deadlines, though.

Consistently good learning platform

I've used Coursera for a few different courses now, and they're always reliable. This time I took the 'AI for Everyone' course, and it was just as well-structured as the 'Python for Everybody' one I did last year. The content quality is high, and the platform itself is easy to navigate. Delivery of certificates is instant once you finish, which is great. It's why I keep coming back.

Loved my new course!

Just finished the 'Deep Learning Specialization' and I'm so happy! The instructors were fantastic and the material was super engaging. I learned so much. Definitely shopping here again for my next course!

i'm a student, are there any special deals for us?

J Josh Moore 3 weeks ago
They sometimes partner with universities to give free access, or offer student discounts on Plus, but it's not always a constant thing. Check their site or ask your school.

My university had free access for a while, definitely worth checking if your school is part of a program.

how does coursera stack up against udemy? trying to decide where to focus my learning.

M Mark Lopez 3 weeks ago
Coursera usually has more university-backed content, which looks better on a resume imo. Udemy is good for quick, specific skills but the quality can vary a lot.

Coursera often feels more structured and academic. Udemy is like the wild west, some gems, some duds. Depends on if you want a formal program or just a quick tutorial.

i heard about financial aid for courses. is that just for like, specific courses or can i apply for a whole specialization?

H Hannah P. 1 month ago
You apply for financial aid for each course individually, even if it's part of a specialization. It's a bit of a process but often worth it.

Yeah, it's per course. I did it for a few in my specialization. Takes a few weeks for them to review, so plan ahead.

can you actually get a full degree on coursera? like a real master's?

S Sam J. 3 days ago
Yup, they actually offer full Bachelor's and Master's degrees from real universities. It's not just certificates anymore, it's pretty wild.

yeah, they have real degrees now. not for everything, but for some fields like data science or public health. kinda cool.

what's the deal with refunding if i forget to cancel my plus sub? is it a pain?

L Leah J. 2 weeks ago
They usually have a pretty strict policy, like 14 days for a refund if you haven't done much coursework. If you forget to cancel after the free trial or renewal, it might be tough.

E Elizabeth Anderson 2 weeks ago
I think you need to request it pretty quickly after a charge. Best to set a reminder to cancel before it auto-renews if you're just trying it out.
